Atari VCS 2600
Released in 1977,the Atari 2600 was the first console to use plug-in cartridges.

This console was originally known as the Atari VCS (Video Computer System), then in 1982 was shortened to Atari 2600. Is still as popular today as it was in it's heyday, with games still being produced by enthusiasts, (often in cartridge format with a full colour label and manual)
