Commodore Vic 20
The VIC-20 (Video Interface Chip) to give it it's full title was released in 1981, was the best selling computer of 1982, and was the first computer ever to pass the 1-million-unit mark in 1983.

One of the more affordable computers on the market. The VIC with it's low-res and small memory was more widely used as an educational and games computer, though there were office type programs made available ie: Spreadsheets and home finance programs. Sales began to dwindle in 1982 with the launch of the Commodore 64 ( with it's hi-res graphics, capable sound generator and 64kb RAM) Due to the popularity of the C64 the Vic-20 ceased production in 1985.
