The popularity of the C64 was for the fact there was plenty of games, tools and applications, and it is still as popular today as it was when it first came out. With it's games now available Commodore 64 games have been available to buy for the Wii Virtual Console in Europe. The Commodore company filed for bankruptcy in 1994.
