Philips CDI
Released in 1991, the Philips Compact Disc Interactive (CDi as it became to be known) was priced around $700 and was capable of playing CD-i, Audio CD, CD+G, Karaoke CD, VCD.There were several other manufacterers producing CDi player - Magnavox, GoldStar / LG Electronics, Digital Video Systems, Memorex, Grundig, Sony, Kyocera, NBS, and highscreen.Whilst Bang & Olufsen, produced a television with a built-in CD-i device. The CDi was discontinued in 1998.
